The main points
  1. When using the EnoFile app with default settings, you have a private EnoFile account.

  2. EnoFile never posts content to your Facebook account automatically. Any sharing on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks outside EnoFile only happens when you actively request the posting to happen.

  3. Brew Ventures owns all rights to photos taken with the EnoFile app.

  4. EnoFile collects data about your wine making tasks and aggregates it for community engagement, but never discloses identifiable information about you.

Collection personal information and use

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information to provide Services and measure and improve them.

Registration Information:  When you create an account, you provide personal information, such as your email address, your name and your user name.  We may user this information to connect you to friends you know.  We collect information that you provide to us when using the Services on our website, or that is generated in the course of the use of those Services (including the timing, frequency and pattern of service use).  We also collect information relating to any purchases you make of our goods and/or services or any other transactions that you enter into through our website (including your name, address, telephone number, email address and card details).


Account Settings:  With registration, you will be automatically subscribed to our email notifications and/or newsletters.  You can always unsubscribe using the instructions in the email.  We may provide third parties with statistical information about our users (but those third parties will not be able to identify any individual user from that information). 

Sharing: If you connect your Brew Venture account to your account on another service in order to cross-post between EnoFIle and that service, the other service may send us your registration or profile information on that service and other information that you authorize. This information enables cross-posting.

Photos, captions, tasting notes and scrapbook:  Our Services are designed to help you share information with other users and your friends and family. Your public information is broadly and instantly disseminated to those you know and may be shared with those connected to those you know. For instance, your public user profile information may be searchable by search engines. Personal information that you share through our Services may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.

Location Information:  You may choose to add your location when you share.  We store information about your location to provide Services, such as mapping the regions of the wine you make or providing winemaking supplies near you. We use the Google Maps API(s) which are subject to the Google Privacy Policy.


Cookies:  Our website uses cookies to collect usage data and improve our Services.  A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Brew Ventures may use either "persistent" cookies or "session" cookies to understand how you interact with our Services.  Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies, but if you block cookies, you will not be able to use all our Services.

Log Data:  We automatically collect information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website (including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths).  This data will be deleted after 18 months.

Third-Party Service Providers:  Brew Ventures may provide third parties with statistical information about our users (but those third parties will not be able to identify any individual user from that information).  Third parties may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Service providers:  We engage service providers for functions and services to us in the course of doing business.  We may share information with this service providers under our confidentiality agreements and consistent with this policy.


Legal disclosures:  We may disclose your personal information to the extent that we are required to do so by law and in connection with any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk).  We may also disclose your personal information to any person who we reasonably believe may apply to a court or other competent authority for disclosure of that personal information where, in our reasonable opinion, such court or authority would be reasonably likely to order disclosure of that personal information.


Business dealings: If Brew Ventures is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or reorganization of assets, your information may be a part of that sale.

Modifying Your Personal Information

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.

Our Child Use Policy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. If your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at If we become aware a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to remove it and terminate the child's account.
